Sathish Kumar Mudedla

Profile

Sathish received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Sciences from CSIR-CLRI, Chennai, India. Later, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher in Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden and Aalto University, Finland for two years. He extensively researched different fields including non-bonded interactions among organic molecules, protein-drug interactions, nanomaterials and biomolecules (peptide, protein and siRNA), and reaction mechanism using modelling approaches such as molecular dynamics simulations, enhanced sampling approaches, steered molecular dynamics and density functional theory (DFT). He also explored structural and dynamical properties of proteins and peptides, and structure-based screening of ligands using docking scores and binding energies. He has good expertise in molecular dynamics simulations, quantum mechanical and quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics (QM/MM) simulations.
