Il Gu Yi received a Ph.D. in statistical physics (Econophysics) from Sungkyunkwan University in 2014. After getting Ph.D., he had postdoctoral training in POSTECH and worked at LIG Insurance. And then, he turned to the field of deep learning and worked at various startups as an AI research scientist related various fields like computer vision, NLP, generative models, drug generation, and etc. Since December 2020, he joined the AI team for drug generation in the PharmCADD. In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar or spending time with his family.
