Profile

Abdennour was graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences (PharmD) from the university of Batna and Drug design (Master’s) from the university of Caen Normandy, in 2011 and 2014, respectively. In 2013, he joined the Normandy Drug Studies and Research Center (CERMN) to develop computational models and design new compounds for Urotensinergic system and Alzheimer’s disease. As a Ph.D. student, his research interests focused on the prediction of binding kinetics constants by molecular dynamics simulations and the design of new protein kinase inhibitors for the treatment of cancer. He obtaining his PhD degree in 2018 from the university of Orleans. After that, he joined the infectious diseases research institute in Montpellier as Post-Doctoral Researcher to design new allosteric inhibitors of CD73 to reactivate anti-cancer immunity. His scientific work has been awarded several times for its academic excellence and innovation. Currently, he holds the position of senior scientist in molecular modeling and chemoinformatics Abdennour is passionate about ethnopharmacology and philosophy of science. He is also a member and actively involved in several international scientific societies such as the French society of chemoinformatics, the European Federation of Medicinal Chemistry and the Purine and Pyrimidine Society
